The sequel to Donkey Kong Country Returns sees the return of Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Cranky Kong, and Funky Kong, as well as a new beginner-friendly mode. This mode will feature Funky Kong and allegedly better help newcomers acclimate to Tropical Freeze’s gameplay. From the Direct trailer, it appears Funky can perform unique moves, such as double jumps, hovers, infinite rolls, and infinite underwater corkscrews. Nintendo says that even spikes can’t stop Funky once he starts surfing.
For those that want to revisit the challenging modes that made Tropical Freeze a hit, they can still do so, playing either mode in two-player co-op.
