An authority said that following up on a clue that e-cigarettes were being snuck via mis-statement and covering through Mundra Port, a holder was recognized and followed.

When it arrived at Mundra Port, the holder was assessed.
“Examination uncovered that the products were wrongly announced as ‘floor cleaning mop’.
During assessment of the holder, every one of the containers inside it were opened. It was viewed that as separated from certain containers containg floor cleaning mop, a few boxes contained hand massager, LCD composing cushion, and Silicone spring up toys which were not pronounced,” the authority said.
Further hunt uncovered that there were 250 additional containers which contained 2 lakh bits of e-cigarette of 2500 puff variation, while one container contained 400 bits of e-cigarettes of 5000 puff variation, all of ‘Yuotoa’ brand, made in China.
The e-cigarettes and any remaining going with merchandise in the holder were held onto under the arrangements of Customs Act. The authority said the market worth of the held onto e-cigarettes will associate with Rs 48 crore.
